What ages does Kids First Childcare accept?

Admissions is open to all children ages 4 weeks to 12 years old.

Who is allowed to drop off/ pick up my child?

Every child must be accompanied by an adult listed on the child's forms. Listed adults MUST bring an ID and sign each child IN and OUT each day. Children will only be released to properly identified adults listed on their pick-up forms.

What if I am late picking up my child?

Our center opens at 5:30am and closes at 6:00pm. We are not licensed nor covered by insurance before or after the times listed. An additional fee is charged for any child not picked up at 6:00pm. The fee of $1/minute per child must be paid before the child attends on the next given day.

What is the late check-in/ early check-out procedure?

If arriving during the hours of 12pm-1:45pm, we ask that you allow the front desk staff to take your child to the classroom as this is during our nap time hours. If you are checking out between 12pm-1:45pm, please call the center while in route in order to have your child ready to leave. A front desk staff member will collect your child's belongings if they are still sleeping. 

Can I send food with my child?

You may send breakfast with your child if they arrive before 6:00am. Please do not send anything past this time as we serve breakfast at 8:00am.

What do I do if my child is running late and misses Breakfast/ Lunch?

Please call the center if your child is running late and you would like for us to save a plate. The lunch count is taken at 9am, please call prior to that time in order to ensure your child gets a plate.

When are meals served?

Breakfast is served from 8:00am-9:00am, Lunch is served from 10:45am-12:00pm, and snack is served from 2:00pm-3:00pm. 

What if my child has a food allergy?

We must have proper documentation of your child's allergy for their personal file as well as for the Kitchen. With proper documentation, special foods and drinks may be brought  into the center.

NOTE: The USDA program does not allow us to serve milk/ food to children under 12 months. However, if you have started your child at home on some items you may write a letter stating that you have begun introducing milk or solid foods at home. Only after we have possession of this letter can we begin serving your child those items at the center.

What is the sick policy?

Children are not allowed to stay at the center if they are showing any signs or symptoms related to an illness. Parents will be notified to pick up their child immediately if signs of illness occur during the day. The child must not return to the center for 24 hours and remain symptom free.

NOTE: Our center does not give medication to the children. Please ask your child's doctor to prescribe medications that can be given outside of center hours based upon when the child is at home. The parent is welcome to come to the center to administer the medication themselves at any time. The center does allow breathing treatments as long as we have the correct paperwork completed by the child's physician. 

Does Kids First Childcare have a dress-code?

We ask that children wear comfortable clothing suitable for both inside and outside play, including closed-toe shoes. We encourage independence and ask that clothing is easy for them to get on and off for potty breaks. EVERY CHILD MUST HAVE AN EXTRA PAIR OF LABELED CLOTHES.
